Gonzaga Wins while Washington Loses

Gonzaga beat Pepperdine for the 51st
time in a row 84-60 at home Wednesday 
night. 

The Zags had five players who scored
in double figures with four coming off
the bench. Again they were without
Graham Ike along Braden Huff who is
out for a while. David Fogle freshman
guard led the Zags with 17 points off
the bench. Ismaila Diagne 7 ft center
in for Graham led with 10 rebounds 
and only two points. 

The Zags shot 47 percent from the
field while Pepperdine shot 34.7
percent. The Zags made 48 points 
inside while Pepperdine only 26.
The Zags will play San Francisco 
Dons on Saturday at home.

The Washington Huskies lost to
Nebraska on the road  76-66. 
The Cornhuskers are undefeated 
on the season so the Huskies 
losing was expected. 

Hannes Steinbach and Zoom Diallo 
we're the two big players once again.
Hannes led with 21 points and 12
rebounds.  Zoom had 18. They were 
the only two in double figures.

Jacob Ognacevic who had been out 
with injury and recently came back
started his first game at power forward.
He had only five points. The Huskies 
play Oregon at home on Sunday at
noon.

The WSU Cougars lost at San Diego 
96- 92. They came back from being
down ten points in the first half.
Ace Glass  led the Cougars with 
29 points and 7 rebunds. ND Okafor 
had 21 points while Rihard Vavers 
had 16 points coming off the bench.

The Cougars will look to win on
Saturday afternoon against Pepperdine 
at home. 

Seattle U won and now has a 14-7
record by beating LMU 69-59 by
getting off to fast start. They have 
a 3-5 record in the West Coast 
Conference and tied with the Cougars.

They take on Pacific on the road 
Saturday. Next Wednesday they 
play at Washington State.
