Washington Huskies Men's Beat Oregon

The Washington Huskies beat the Oregon Ducks ending a three game losing. As
I have said before the Big Ten Conference
is a tough basketball conference. The
Huskies lost to Michigan, Michigan State
and Nebraska who most teams would
have lost too.

Sunday afternoon win Washington  72
Oregon 57.  The Ducks had lost five games
in a row coming into this game the
Huskies three last opponents.

The Huskies took 23 more shots than
the Ducks as well as making 12 more.
The Huskies had a good day in shooting
3s making 10 of 21 besides taking more
than usual.

The Huskies spread out the scoring with
five players  scoring in double figures
Diallo, Peterson and Jacob Ognacevic
each had 12 points. Steinbach and
Kepnang both had ten. These two
dominated in rebounds with 13 and
14 each.

Things won't get easier as the Huskies
take on Illinois on the road on Wednesday.
They are ranked #11 in the country.

WSU Cougars beat Pepperdine Saturday
95-79 at home.  Simon Hildebrandt led
the Cougars with 19 points. Ace Glass
had 18 points. In all the Cougars had
six players in double figures.  The
Cougars won because they ten more
3 pointers. Both teams shot over
50 percent from the field.

The Cougars next game will be at
home on Wednesday against
Seattle U.

Gonzaga beat San Francisco 68-66.
The Dons were down eleven at halftime
but made the game interesting. The
Zags again were without leading
scorer and rebounder Graham Ike
again.  Jalen Warley led the Zags
with 19 points. Tyon Grant-Foster
and David Fogle each had 15 points
off the bench.

The Zags don't play again until coming
Saturday at home against St. Mary's.
A tough opponent so hopefully Ike
will return.  Go Zags!
