Gonzaga Beats WSU in Pullman

The Gonzaga Bulldogs beat the Washington
State Cougars in a state rival Thursday night
86-65. The Zags were without  Braden Huff
who was injured in practice with a knee.
He could miss the rest of the season.

The Zags now are going with three guards
in the starting lineup. Jalen Warley, Braden
Smith and Adam Miller, and all scored
in double digits. They will need to continue
as they did in this game to help out
Graham Ike who scored 23 points and
11 rebounds.

The Zags shot 50 percent from the field
while the Cougars shot 40.4 percent.
The Zags took more shots than the
Cougars. It could have looked worse
however the Cougars made more 3
pointers. The Zags made 52 points
inside while Cougs made only 14.
The big difference in the game.

The Cougars were led by Simon
Hildebrandt off the bench with
16 points. Ace Glass and Jerone
Morton each had 13 points. ND
Okafor got in early foul trouble
playing only 11 minutes and didn't
score a point.

Gonzaga will play at Seattle University
on Saturday. Seattle has struggled in
West Coast Conference however
beat San Diego 75-64.

The Cougs will play San Francisco
Dons on Sunday.
