the San Francisco 49ers for the second
time in two weeks winning 41-6.
As the score indicates they dominated the
game. It started with Rashid Shaheed
returning the opening kick off for a touchdown. Not long after that the
Seahawks caused a fumble to setup
another touchdown. The Seahawks
kicked a field to make a field to make it
17-0 before the 49ers were able to kick
a field goal themselves.
There was not much the 49ers offense
could do throughout the game. They
tried a few trick plays that for the most
part weren't successful. The Seahawks
pretty much went with their running game.
They didn't have to do much passing on
the day. A running game like this one they
aren't going to lose to often that is for sure.
Sam Darnold looked good despite his
injury. Fortunately he didn't have to test
it much. Half way in the 4th quarter
Drew Locke came in at quarterback.
He didn't have to do much either.
The Seahawks will play the winner
of Sunday's game next week at home
between the Rams and the Bears. I
am sure most of the Seahawks will
hope they play the Bears.
In men's college basketball the UW
Huskies lost to the Michigan State at
home on Saturday 80-63. They were
down only by eight points at half time.
Again it is tough to play anyone in the
Big Ten. Zoom Diallo led the Huskies
with 18 points while Hannes Steinbach
had 17. The Huskies didn't get much
production from the bench.
On Friday Desmond Claude said he was
leaving the Washington program at least
for now for personal reasons. Most to
do with his recent injury.
Also in town Gonzag beat Seattle University
72-50. Graham Ike sat out the game. Mario
Saint-Supery cane off the bench with 20
points to lead the Zags. The Zags shot
much better than Seattle U. and dominated
the rebounding as well.
The Zags next game will be home
against Pepperdine on Wednesday
night. Seattle U. will be home the
same night against LMU. The Huskies
play next Wednesday as well against
Nebraska on the road.
