Washington Huskies Men's Beat Ohio State

The Washington Huskies despite injuries
and Desmond Claude away were able to
beat Ohio State Buckeyes Sunday 81-74.

The Huskies lineup was a bit changed
Bryson Tucker started after coming off
the bench when he returned from injury.
Quimiri Peterson started as well. The
Huskies went with three players up front
as well as Zoom Diallo and Peterson at
the guards.

The Huskies got off to a slow start however
the gym was close most of the way. The
Huskies were down by two at halftime
however controlled the second half. Zooms
made  some key shots in the second half.
He led the Huskies with 22 followed by
Hannes Steinbach with 21. Steinbach had
nine rebounds as well.

All five starters played over 30 minutes.
Only Peterson didn't score in double digits
and he had 8 points.  It was important
for the Huskies to win this one at home
as the Big Ten is a tough basketball
conference. We should expect quite
a few make the NCAA tournament
and we hope the Huskies to be one
of them.

Wednesday night the Huskies will
play against Michigan at home.
Michigan who were undefeated
lost to Wisconsin at home Saturday
night  91-88 so the Woverines will
look at beating the Huskies. The
Huskies are one of 13 teams in the
Big Ten with double digits in wins
so won't be easy either at home and
especially on the road. Go Dawgs!
