Mariners and Red Sox Split Series

It turned out the Mariners and Red
Sox game ended up being played
on Sunday despite the weather
forecast. The game was only
delayed about six minutes though
it looked like it could have a
couple or hours or so.

The Red Sox won 5-3. Nick
Margevicius only lasted seven
hitters getting only one out
with the Red Sox scoring one
run. Having problem in his
previous outing not lasting
long either Nick might go
on injured list. Let you know
after tomorrows game.

Drew Steckenrider came in
pitched one and two-third
innings giving up one hit,
two walks and one run.

Casey Sadler went two innings
not giving up a hit and walking
one batter. Ljay Newsome finished
the game going four innings. Gave
up two hits while striking out four
and no runs.

The Mariners scored first getting
a run in the first inning with Haniger
and France each hitting a double.
Mariners scored two in the fifth
inning giving them a chance to win
Haggerty had a single, scored on a
double by Tom Murphy and Murphy
scored on a hit by JP Crawford.

Haggerty is hitting .270 after getting
off to a slow start however had a
great series against the Red Sox.
We will probably see more of him
especially against left handed hitters.

Haniger had his day at dh. Something
Servais is doing after a few games in
right. Dylan Moore who is struggling
at the plate played in right field while
Haggerty was in left. Ty France was
at second. Expect Haniger back in right
on Monday against the Astros.

Sheffield will pitch Monday against the
Astros followed by Marco Gonzales.
If Margevicius goes on injured list
should the Mariners go to a five- man
rotation or insert Newsome. Even if
Margevicius doesn't go on injured list
he should go back into the bullpen. Go M's.
