Mariners Now Down Two

The Seattle Mariners continue not doing well
in Houston losing 2-0. Kyle Seager had the
only two hits of the ball game. Ironically he
ended the game striking out.

The Mariners decided not to start Evan White
and Dylan Moore in the game. They went with
Sam Haggerty and Jose Marmolejos instead.
Ty France played second while Haggerty was
in left field and Marmolejos at first. Dylan
did pinch hit in the 9th inning.

The bottom of the batting order continues
not  producing at the plate. Best not to
mention it again. The Mariners should
make some changes.

Marco Gonzales pitched a good game
giving up only two runs both in the 4th
inning. He went six innings giving up
five hits. Also had three walks which is
high for him.

The bullpen continues to do a stellar
job giving the Mariners a chance to
score late in the game.

The Mariners face Zach Greinke
Wednesday night. Justin Dunn will
go for the Mariners. If Dunn pitches
like he did in his last outing the
Mariners have a fight chance. Now
please let's have the bats come alive.

The NFL draft starts on Thursday
though the Seahawks participation
likely won't happen until  Friday,
They have a second round pick, but
I wouldn't be surprised if the trade
the pick to pick up more draft picks
since they have only three all total
in the draft at this point.

The Washington Huskies have their
spring game coming up this Saturday.
According to the Seattle Times the
starting quarterback is down to Dylan
Morris and transfer Patrick O'Brien.
Most likely it means Sam Huard will
redshirt this coming season.
