Mariners Take It On the Chin

I hope it doesn't happen to often to the
Mariners Wednesday nights game look
like they would win until the eighth
inning when every went to pot.

The Astros started the scoring in the
second getting two runs off of Justin
Dunn who actually pitched well in
the game going five and two-thirds
inning.

The Mariners scored a run in the 3rd
on a home run by Luis Torrens. In the
4th Torrens hit a double allowing the
Mariners in scoring three and the 5th
inning another run making it 5-2.

The Astros scored a run in the sixth
inning with two outs when Casey
Sadler came in for Dunn. Sadler was
able to get the final out without no
more damage.

Most games this season the Mariners
would have won however they are
playing in Houston which is a jinx
or something anyway. The Astros
scored four runs which included an
error by Evan White telling something
in the water.

So the Astros led 7-5 into the 9th inning.
Right there knew it would be hard for
the Mariners to come back though possible
with the comeback kids. It wasn't that way
Wednesday night.

The Mariners and the Astros have afternoon
game to finalize the series. We hope the
Mariners can escape with a win here. Yusei
Kikuchi will go for the Mariners in the
afternoon affair. We hope he can pitch well
the offense score early. It would be nice to
come out with a win in Houston. That is
not asking too much is it.

Outside of Torrens having an outstanding
day at the plate the Mariners had hits by
JP Crawford, Haggerty, Kyle Lewis had a
home run, Kyle Seager had a hit as well,
and Jose Marmolejos had one too.

Today is the first day of the NFL draft.
As I have mentioned before the Seahawks
don't have one in the first round, however,
we can see who is picked and where they
go. The Washington Huskies could have a
first rounder or two in the draft. Let you
know how it goes tomorrow.
