The Seattle Mariners final six games on 2019 begin on
Tuesday. The Mariners take on the Houston Astros who have won all but one game.
I am sure it tells us something about rebuilding.
The two remaining games against the Astros the Mariners will
be playing some of those playing a significant part in the future of the team.
We will see Shed Long, Kyle Lewis, JP Crawford, Justin Dun, and Justus Sheffield
the core group.
Other players possibly being in the mix who was not expected
to be in the rebuild in Austin Nola, and Tim Lopes with other pieces like
Donnie Walton, Dylan Moore, Dan Vogelbach, Braden Bishop along with relievers
Zac Grotz, Taylor Guilbeau, Erik Swanson, and Art Warren.
Other players who will be around possibly just another year
or two in catchers Omar Narvaez, Tom Murphy, Kyle Seager, and Domingo Santana.
Over the weeks ahead we will have to see what moves general
manager Jerry Dipoto will make to improve the Mariners for the coming season.
The Mariner final games will be against the Oakland A’s. The
other team besides the Astros the Mariners is hoping to leapfrog in two or
three years. Go M’s.
