Mariners 10 Diamondbacks 4 11innings
It wasn't easy or pretty however, the
Mariners did sweep the Diamondbacks.
indicated unless you see the game
went eleven innings.
The game was silent until the 4th
inning when the Mariners scored
two runs. Arizona ended up scoring
three runs off of Chris Flexen in
the 6th inning after going well for
five innings. The Mariners scored
their third run in the seventh inning
to tie. The Mariners bullpen did
another marvelous pitching performance
on the night.
The Mariners looked like they were
going to run their time by running
mistakes. Kelenic was caught going
to the third on a grounder by Dylan
Moore then Moore was caught stealing.
Yohan Ramirez did a good job not
allowing the Diamondbacks to score
in the 10th.
Kyle Seager who had a good night
at least in the 11th inning drove in
the first two of seven runs to make it
10-3 on a double. The Mariners kept
going with hit after hit.
Matt Andriese recently acquired
from the Boston Red Sox pitched
the 11th inning. gave up a run
though unearned was it so Mariners
won.
Ty France, Abraham Toro, and Tom
Murphy each had two hits. France
scored twice while Toro and Murphy
each drove in two runs while France
scored twice.
The Mariners now head to Houston
to play a three game series beginning
on Monday. Yusei Kikuchi starts the
first game. Hopefully he can do well
as he did in his last outing.
