News Today

Finally the Seattle Mariners finally announced
the signing of extension on multiyear contracts
for general manager Jerry Dipoto and manager
Scott Servais. We will see how the rebuild be
like in a couple years or so.

They experts say the Mariners have the number
one or two farm system in baseball. In either
case it certainly gives a good reason to have
Jerry Dipoto back and the Mariners have 71
wins heading into September. Many thought
the Mariners wouldn't have more wins than
that for the season and the fact the team had
a lot of injuries the first month of the season
losing James Paxton and other pitchers as
well. No one knew the Mariners would have
an outstanding bullpen allowing them to have
the 71 wins. Last year the bullpen was a disaster.

The Seahawks signed former Jacquars and Oregon
State quarterback Jake Luton and releasing
quarterback Sean Mannion. Still means the Seahawks
still have three quarterbacks on the roster. Also,
waived guard Phil Haynes. Other moves likely
will happen before opening day.
