Guess What! Mariners Are Tied For First

It doesn't seem that long ago the
Seattle Mariners were ten and a half
games behind the Texas Rangers.
Well Friday night the Mariners beat
the Kansas City Royals 7-5.

The Texas Rangers and Houston
Astros both lost. The Mariners now
tied with the Rangers. Both of the
teams have been losing while the
Mariners win.

JP Crawford hit a home run in the
first inning followed by a hit by Julio
who ended up scoring a run on Cal
Raleigh hit. Crawford, Suarez and Raleigh
each had three hits. Suarez had three
RBIs in the game. Julio had a couple
hits along with Canzone. In all the M's
had 16 hits.

The Royals scored three times to take
the lead temporarily in the second.
The Mariners scored two runs in the
fourth and fifth inning. The Royals
scored two in the seventh to make
it interesting. The Mariners added
a run in the eighth and there was the
ball game.

The game was on Apply TV Friday
night of the week. I wonder how
many Mariners fans saw the game.
I certainly wasn't  one of them.

Bryce Miller didn't have one of his better games going only four innings. This
meant the Mariners used six relievers.
Most of the guys did well. Matt Brash
was the one who have up the two
runs in the seventh inning on three
hits. Tayler Saucedo came in to get
the final out. Brash has certainly has
had his up and downs.

The other relievers didn't give up a
hit except Andre Munoz in the 9th.
Logan Gilbert goes Saturday followed
by Luis Castillo on Sunday. The M's
have three  against Oakland.
