Mariners Take Game Two In Series

The Seattle Mariners got off
to a good start scoring four runs
in the first primarily on a three
run homer by Ty France. The
trouble it was short lived. Dylan
Moore added a solo home run
in the second and Julio a two
run shot in the 4th inning. At
the end of the 5th the Angels
tied the game at 7-7. It was
another rough outing by Luis
Castillo. It surprises me he has
an era after this one of 3.21.
At least he was able to go six
innings.

The Mariners were able to get
the Angels starter out early who
went four innings. The Angels
used five relievers while the
Mariners used three. It helps
heading into the final two games
of the series.

Eugenio Suarez drove in Julio
with a go ahead run in the
eighth. Julio had a double then
Suarez single. It was the ten
straight game Suarez had driven
in at least one run. He now has
the teams record after tying
Edgar Martinez at nine.

Cal Raleigh hit a home run in
the 9th to give the Mariners
a 9-7 lead. Matt Brash pitched
the 9th as Andre Munoz wasn't
available after two straight games.
Brash gave up a hit and a walk.
Ohtani came to the plate. I am sure
he was dreaming of hitting a
home run as a walkoff victory
however instead Brash struck him
out and got the final two outs
to record the save and victory.

In other local sports the Washington
Huskies and Oregon Ducks decided
to go to the Big Ten. This now gives
the conference sixteen teams. Looks
like the end of the Pac12. Arizona
and Arizona State expected to go to
the Big 12. What happens to California,
Stanford, Oregon State and Washington
State we will have to stay tuned.
