The Mariners lost Wednesday afternoon to the White Sox 5-4. We have to remember they took two out of three however they
had the opportunity to win this game.
The White Sox led the game most of
the way however the Mariners scored
three runs in the top of the ninth to take
the lead 4-3. Bottom of the ninth Chicago
was able to tie the game.
The trouble the Mariners have had as of
late they couldn't score in the 10th. Josh
Rojas had his third hit of the game however
Mike Ford was only able to go to third. The
Mariners didn't have any bench players
available as they were already used so
couldn't pinch run for Ford. The only
option might of been to use a pitcher to
pinch run. This is another reason I don't
like the Mariners using too many pinch hitters.
Tim Anderson was the runner on second
for the White Sox he ended stealing third
and then came home on a throwing error
by JP Crawford. Game over.
Now the Mariners have Thursday off and
come home to play three against the
Kansas City Royals. The Mariners have a
shot to sweep this series or at least take
two out of three. Mentality take two out
of three the rest of the way however let's
sweep when the opportunity arises like
in this series. Go M's.
