quarterbacks Saturday night in their win
over the Dallas Cowboys 22-14.
I was a bit surprised however Geno Smith
played the first quarter then Drew Lock
played most of the second quarter. Rookie
Holton Ahlers came in late second quarter
and played the rest of the way.Ahlers likely
be on the practice squad.
Geno and Drew threw the same amount of
passes six and completed five. The difference
Lock had more passing yardage. I wouldn't
have a problem with Lock starting but likely
won't happen unless Geno gets hurt or under
performs. Hopefully Lock will be able to
play some during the season. This would mean
the Seahawks either were scoring a lot or being
beaten a lot. The Seahawks like being in close
games or at least that is how they turn out.
Next Saturday in Green Bay likely to see Geno
go the first half followed by Lock in the third
quarter and Ahlers in the 4th. We will see more
of the starters to in this one. Second half will
be those who are trying to make the team.
It doesn't matter who wins however seeing
Geno have success will be nice. Most likely the
majority of the cuts will be after next week's
game. Go Hawks!
