for the second time already in the
West Coast Conference. Last time
they played as two weeks ago where
Gonzaga won at home 101-74. It is
interesting how their conference
schedule works this year.
On Thursday they beat Pepperdine
on their court 86-61 to almost same
identical score Pepperdine had 60
while the Zags had 86 as well.
Head coach Mark Few recorded his
700th win in his career with the victory.
Graham Ike led the Zags with 24 points.
Graham had a hot night shooting making
11 of 17 shots from the field. Nolan
Hickman had 19 points and Anton Watson
came through with 16 points and eight
rebounds.
The game was tied at half time at 40-40.
Zags shooting 70.4% from the floor in the
second half. San Diego on the other hand
went real cold making only 21 points while
Zags had 46. They shot 29.2 percent from
the field. Gonzaga has beaten Pepperdine
for 47 straight games so it has been a
long time since their last win.
The Zags will play San Francisco Dons
at home next Thursday at home followed
by going to Pacific on Saturday.
It was a nice Thursday that Gonzaga as
well as Washington and Washington
State all won their games See if it can
happen again Saturday. Won't be an
easy task for sure.
