Huskies Coach Jedd Fisch First Press Conference

Tuesday morning at 11 am Huskies coach
Jedd Fisch had his first press conference since coming less than 48 hours ago.

He said that he took the Huskies job
to win championships. He said realistically
only 12 to 14 teams in CFP have a chance
to win the National championship and
Washington is one of them.

Fisch didn't promise that he would be
around a long time or not. Sounds like
he would leave if an NFL team who has
an opening that realistically has chance
to win the Super Bowl. He didn't say the
words but we figured he applied it.

Fisch brought up the words the next
man up. What he meant was when
the time comes to leave the Huskies
be in the position to continue going
for championships.

Building the Huskies team is bringing
in freshmen recruits and on any transfers
through the portal for positions that
need help to keep things going.  Fisch
said it is like the draft for the NFL and
adding free agents at certain positions.

He will bring in almost all of his staff
from  Arizona. Didn't indicate any transfers
from Arizona although they will have
some. The window has closed for the
portal at this time so he will see out
of the group including Huskies to come
to or back. The portal will open again
April so then he could pick.up some
Arizona players or from.elsewhere.

Currently the Huskies don't have any
quarterbacks who have college
experience. We will see whether he
can bring back Austin Mack who just
over the weekend go into the portal.
Most likely Will Rogers is gone
but say never  to come back.  He
currently enroll in classes at U W..

Parker Brailsford who started at
center for most of season announced
he was going into transfer. Also German
Bernard the highest returning wide
receiver entered the transfer portal
as well. He decommitted two years
ago when Kalen DeBoer became
head coach. He played st Michigan
State for a year before coming back.
We will see what he actually does.
Go Dawgs!
