I thought when the Seattle Kraken won
Monday afternoon at T-Mobile Park
over Las Vegas 3-0 it was a good sign
for the Huskies in the Sugar Bowl which
turned out right.
It was a big win for the Kraken beating
the Golden Knights who were last year's
Stanley Cup champions and are tied
with Vancouver as the leaders in the
Pacific division. Vancouver had a poor
season year has been a big surprise.
The Kraken got off to a poor start
have played well of late. They are
15-14-9. They are 4th place in the Pacific
division and just outside of the playoffs.
They have received points in their last
nine games. A shutout like this against
one of the best teams in the league is
a good sign and hopefully keep them
going.
The Huskies beat the Texas Longhorns in
the semifinals for the college national
championship 37-31. It was a close
game with it going down to the last
play of the game. Dillon Johnson was
hurt under a minute left in the game
for the Huskies so the clock had to
stop. Dillon had not been injured the
the clock would have run down meaning
the Huskies could have kneeled on
fourth down instead the Huskies had
to punt to Texas which gave them a chance
to win. The Huskies defense was able to
hold the Longhorns including a ball being
hit out of the receiver's hand in the end
zone with no time left in the game.
The Huskies now play Michigan in the
National Championship game against
Michigan next Monday in Houston.
Michigan beat Alabama 27-20 before
the Huskies in the Rose Bowl. Another
close game as the game went into
overtime. Michigan is favored by five
points, however, the Huskies are used
to being underdogs. Go Dawgs!
