Saturday acquiring several draft picks.
The first pick was acquired from the
Cleveland Browns in Beau Stephens
a guard from Iowa in the fifth round.
The Seahawks are looking at adding
depth and competition for the right
guard spot. Iowa had several players
drafted this year.
In round six the Seahawks selected
Emmanuel Henderson Jr. a wide
receiver from Kansas who has a lot
of speed. Most likely he will see
most of his action on special teams
if he makes the team. He was acquired
in a trade with the New York Jets.
In the seventh round the Seahawks
acquired three picks including the
first and in the round from the
Green Bay Packers. Both of these
are cornerbackd so be tough
competition. They are Andre Fuller
from Toledo and Michael Dansby
from Arizona. Sandwich between
them was a defensive tackle acquired
from the Jets picked in Deven Eastern
from Minnesota. We wish them all
the best.
The Seahawks have signed already
three undrafted college players so
let you know who they are and others
with notable names on Sunday.
The draft pick of Stephens was for the
4th round pick in next draft. The Seahawks still have eleven picks for next year right
now.. The two picks in the 7th round
from the Packers was for the late sixth
round. The two picks acquired from
the Jets was for an earlier sixth round
pick. Go Hawks
The San Francisco 49ers drafted
two players from University of
Washington. Both players were
selected in the 4th round. Offensive
lineman Carvis Wills and cornerback
Ephesians Prysock.
In all the Washington Huskies had
seven players drafted. Edge rusher
Zach Durfee was the last one in
the 7th round by Jacksonville.
The Washington State Cougars
Had only one player wide receiver
De'Zhaun Stribling by the San
Francisco 49ers. He was the very
first pick of the second round.
