Tacoma Rainers and Arkansas Travelers

The Rainiers beat El Paso 3-1 Thursday 
night to even the series 1-2 after Wednesday 
nights game was cancelled for rain and
the game will be made up in a double 
header on Saturday. The weather expected
to be good.

No scoring happened until the sixth
inning when Carlos Rodriguez for El
Paso hit a single to right to drive in
a run.  In the bottom of the 7th Colt
Emerson hit a single followed by 
Conner Joe with one out. Patrick
Wisdom flied out for the second
out. Carson Taylor hit a home run
scoring both Emerson and Joe 
ahead of him. It was Taylor's first
home run of the season  and he is
only hitting .125. So the Rainier's 
beat the odds too.

Gabe Mosser  who started for Tacoma 
went six innings giving up the one run.
He had thrown 82 pitches. Blast Casano
pitched the seventh have up no hits
recorded his second win already.
None of the three relievers gave up
a hit for Tacoma.   Alex Hoppe recorded
his second save of the season. The
Rainiers are now have a record of 3-2.

The Arkansas Travelers lost their opening
game of the season Thursday at Midland
5-1. Starter Michael Morales only went
two innings surrendering two runs. In
all the Travelers used five pitchers.
Dh Hunter Fitz-Gerald hit a double 
driving in Lazaro Montes for the only
run. The Travelers had only six hits
with Hunter having two.

Friday night Kade Anderson makes his
regular season professional debut for
the Travelers. The Mariners number one
pick and third overall we hope for better 
success. Go Travelers.
