The Men's Basketball Transfer Portal

The , Washington Huskies have added
their player from the transfer portal in
guard junior Parker Freidrichsen.
The four star recruit out of high school
Washington will be his third spot. Coach
Sprinkle hopes he improves the team's
three point shooting. At Davidson last
year he averaged 10.8 points a game.

Freshman JJ Mandaquit who was starter
for  the Huskies when last season then
was hurt was the first transfer landing
at Arizona. A good choice if you had to
leave Washington. I am sure Coach
Sprinkle will do a better job dealing with
players.  Zoom Diallo had a visit at
Kentucky however hasn't committed yet.
Go Dawgs.

The transfer portal has  been brutal to
the WSU Cougars as they have lost
basically the whole team. Only two
redshirt freshmen return.

They have signed one player already
in  Fraser Foxburgh a small forward
from Manhattan. Updated will come.

Gonzaga had five players in the transfer
portal as well as five who have eligibility
used up. Unlike Washington State the
Zags will have easier time filling slots.
Adding a big man to go with Braden Huff
is a must. Several big time programs
have players in the transfer portal so
they should  be able to fill the spots
soon.

They did signed incoming sophomore
Isiah Harwell from Houston Cougars.
A swing man he played only 13.8
minutes a game. He averaged 3.4 points
and two rebounds  in limited time.
We see whether he will be a starter
ot coming off the bench.

Again we will see who else the Zags
acquire soon.

The portal closes on April 21 however they
should be a me to sign players after that.
Do one week to go so we will check back
in unless a big name comes before that.
Goes for all three schools.

There are schools trying to recruit players
who are not yet in the transfer portal
My opinion those schools should be
charged with tampering.   The NCAA
board had put in rules on tampering
so coaches can lose 50 percent of
the season of they are caught.
At least something positive.
