Beavers would beat the Washington
State Cougars in their first match up
since being the two teams remaining
in the new Pac-12.
The Beavers are the best of these of
these two teams however the Cougars
should be ashamed how they played
especially offensively.
Final Beavers 48. Cougars 30
The Beavers have an outstanding offense
and the Cougars offense had their best of
the season.
The Beavers had 555 total yards while
the Cougars had 459 yards. The Cougars
play this way in their remaining games
this season they should have more wins
than one they have now
The game had no turnovers until the
Cougars threw a long pass with three
seconds remaining was intercepted.
The Cougars did what they had to.the
very end that you can't fault them.
Owen Eshleman a redshirt freshman
making his first career start as a Cougar.
Owen completed 32 of 49 passes for
a solid of just over 65 percent and 289
yard with two touchdowns.
If the Cougars had any fault offensively
Eshleman had most of the yards running
the ball too. He carried 15 times for 136
yards and had his first running touchdown
with 1:37 remaining in the game for 20 yards.
It looks for the time now he is the Cougars
quarterback. They had 15 more carries
that came to 32 yards. Something the
Cougars will have to work on.
Branden Ganashamoorthy was the key
receiver that Eshleman looked to with
11 catches for 147 yards and a touchdown.
Going into this game he had 15 catches
for 196 and two touchdowns. Likely
see these two hook up the rest of the way.
Things won't get easier for the Cougars as
they take on Boise State next Saturday at
home. Despite the Beavers they are expected to win the Pac-12 title. Let's see if the Cougars
can do an upset. Go Cougs.
