basketball team had their first exhibition game
which they lost to Boise State 109-91.
The Huskies play the WSU Cougars on October
25 at home in second exhibition before facing
Colgate on November 1 in regular season opener
The Huskies play in the tough Big Ten so they
have to get to know each other better. Nine of
the 15 are new through the transfer portal.
A big problem in this game the Huskies
had 18 turnovers to Boise State 9
Shooting wise both teams did well.
There were a lot of foul shots to by both
teams. 99 between the too which is crazy.
The Huskies actually shot better at the foul
line do didn't make a difference.
Boise shot well from field. The Huskies
made 51% while just over 40% in three
point shots which is better than other
seasons.
Wesley Yates lll who is the only returning
starter came off the bench in this one
as the sixth man. It will be interesting if
the Huskies stay that way or not. He had
11 points. Parker Freidrichsen had 15
points off the bench. Whether these two
continue coming off the bench we will see.
In all the Huskies had 40 points off the bench.
I am sure coach Danny Sprinkle want to
see how certain players matched together.
We could see a different starting lineup
against the Cougars.
Tayshawn Comer and Lejuan Watts each
had 16 points to lead the Huskies while
starting. Watts lead them with 9 rebounds.
Both fouled out to. Lethan Sommerville
another hold over started with ten points
and give points. He was at power forward
and fouled out too.
Right now this is a work in process for
the Huskies. The Huskies play in the
tough Big Ten so if they can progress
with a winning record and have less
injuries be good. Go Dawgs
