Washington Huskies, WSU Cougars and Gonzaga Men's Basketball Coming Up

All three schools have started fall practice
heading into the nonleague schedule.
All three schools have had turnover with
some graduations and the transfer portal.
These days the transfer portal is a big
reality though in respect hurting the college
sport more than others.

The Washington Huskies men's basketball
team biggest player to replace was freshman
Hannes Steinbach the teams best player.
Unlike others he went to the NBA as lottery
pick to Carolina. We wish him a good career.

I thought that the players who they had
that didn't graduate along with Steinbach
was a good unit needing to add a couple
pieces but that didn't happen. The Huskies
were #12 ranked in the Big Ten Conference
because of injuries. With the new roster
including six players through the transfer
portal they are hoping to break into the top
nine of the conference which become success
with it being one of the top conferences in the
country.

The Huskies start their season on November
2 playing Colgate in nine non-conference
games. Two teams in the early  will be third
game Utah former Pac-12 opponent and
on November 23 in Southeast Invitational
in Maui Hawaii they play BYU.   In early
December they will play conference rivals
USC and UCLA. On December 19 they
game on Baylor at Climate Pledge Arena
in Seattle.

The Huskies will begin the rest of their
Big Ten schedule against  Michigan on
the road followed by Michigan State.
In all they play 20 games in the Big Ten
ending with Oregon at home on March
6. Go Dawgs.

The Washington State Cougars aren't
expected to finish well placing 9th
and last in the new Pac-12. Two top
head liners are freshmen Lazerek Houston
and Jamari Phillips. They lost top freshman
Ace Glass who transfered. They have
eight players transfer including Casey Jones
from nearby Eastern Washington.

The Cougars will not play a regular season
game against the Huskies however they
will have an exhibition game on October 25
at Washington.   The Cougars have a 32
game schedule including 16 in conference
play. They start the season at home against
Davidson on November 2.  On November 21
they play Duke in Palm Springs California.
In December on the 12th play UNLV,
followed by Seattle University on the 19th
and finish the month on the 28th against
LSU all in the road.  They begin conference
play January 3 at Fresno State. They play
Gonzaga on the 6th at home. They play the
Zags in Spokane on February 17. They end
the season at home against Texas State.
The conference tournament begins on the
10th. Go Cougs.

Gonzaga is favored to win the Pac-12.  I
am sure at least some of the teams in
the West Coast Conference are glad they
are gone.

The Zags have 13. non league games.
They begin on November 2 playing
Purdue in Las Vegas. They play UCLA,
Michigan State and Oregon of the Big
Ten as well. Like the Cougars they play
Duke to on February 20 in Detroit
Michigan.  They have LSU and Kansas
State earlier on the schedule.  They
have 16 games in the Pac-12 schedule.
They start January 6 at Washington
State and end on March 6 at Colorado
State.

The Zags have 15 players on their roster
with only three returning with Braden Huff
the most notable who missed all conference
games last season because of injury.
They have three incoming freshmen so the
remaining nine are transfers. Three of them
waiting on being eligible to play. Go Zags

As as we know will let you know what each
teams depth chart looks like.
