in the country plays at Washington State.
Boise State is at top of the Pac-12 and is
favored to win the conference.
BSU only loss of the season was in week one
when they almost upset the Oregon Ducks
on home field. Last week was their closest
win beating Fresno State 38-31 on the road
making their season 5-1. They are 12.5
favorites this coming Saturday against the
Cougars.
Boise State Broncos are averaging 35 points
a game while their opponents are at 22.3.
Maddux Madsen is the Broncos quarterback
and he has 13 touchdowns and no interceptions
on the season while completing 66.3 percent
of his passes.
The Broncos are averaging more on the ground
then passing which is rare in college football.
They average 234.5 on the ground while 216
in the air. Dylan Riley is there number one runner
and he is averaging 6.6 yards a carry and has 6
touchdowns on the season. Sire Gaines is number
two at 5.4 per carry with 3 touchdowns. He has
just over as many carries as Riley. It will be
important for the Cougars to stop them. It is
interesting since the Broncos offense is different
than the Beavers last week pass the ball more
than the Beavers last week pass the ball more
although did have a runner who had over 100 yards.
Rasean Jones the Broncos wide receiver has
23 catches on the season for 359 yards and one
touchdown. Comes to receiving they have to watch
for tight end Matt Wagner who had 22 catches
for 242 yards and four touchdowns. Third in
catches is wide receiver Akeem Wright with 11
catches for 181 yards and one touchdown.
Last week the Cougars benched the QB from
the previous games in favor of redshirt freshman
Owen Eshleman who accounted for most of the
offense. He ran for 136 on only 15 carries and
a touchdown. Passing he threw for 289 with 2
touchdowns and one interception. The interception
happened at the end of the game. The rest of
the running game had only 65 yards. The Cougars
have a chance not only will Eshleman have
to repeat much what he did against the Beavers
will have to get more yards from the running
backs on the ground. Go Cougs.
