bad their best offensive game of the
season. They really needed this win
after going 0-3:in the Big Ten
Final Washington 38 Purdue 26
This wasn't the most perfect game
but certainly the best one of the season.
The Huskies had five turnovers Friday night.
This all on the road too.
Elijah Brown making his first start of the
season for the Huskies completed 21 of
27 for 302 yards and three touchdowns.
Brown had three intercepted but not all
his fault. The receivers need to complete
running their routes.
The big improvement was running the ball.
Trevion Cooley had 8 carriers for 113 yards.
One run was 53 yards for a touchdown.
It was the last score of the game. He had
to leave a little later as he was hit hard
on a play. We hope that he can go next week.
Brian Bonner Jr. ran 13 times for 64 yards
and had a touchdown at the end of the first
half. He caught a 25 yard touchdown pass
about six minutes earlier.
Chris Lawson led the Huskies with six catches
for 103. Dezman Roebuck had five catches
for 97 yards and had a 4 yard touchdown
early in the 4th quarter.
The Huskies defense gave up a lot of big
plays though Purdue running back Fame
Ijeobi last week against Minnesota having
195 yards only had 13 carries for 19 yards
He did catch a pass for a touchdown though.
The Huskies have next weekend off then
plays at Nebraska on Saturday October 31.
This should be what they need. We will
see whether quarterback Desmond Williams
Jr. returns to start of not. Go Dawgs.
