Preview Washington State at San Diego State

This Saturday afternoon the Cougars take
on the Aztecs in San Diego. The Aztecs
are favored by 2.5 points at home so
anything will  go.

This is another game that the Cougars
will play at the same time as the Huskies
at 4pm Pacific time.  A good way to spend
some time  before going out on Halloween.
You can even flip between both games
as I will.

Last week the Aztecs lost to Colorado
State in a high scoring affair  56-49.
They have an overall record of 3-5.
Neither team may not make a bowl
game though the home team wins
they have a chance to get in one.
Want to see offense the one to watch.
You can always flip to see the Huskies
or any other game on. This also a good
game for Cougars to see in person.

Jayden Denegal is the Aztecs quarterback
who is second season after transfered from
Michigan where he played in seven games
in two seasons. This year he is down to
55 percent completions of passes. Also last
year he averaged just over 150 yards a
game to 128 yards.Last year  he had 8
interceptions and this year  5 which is the
same rate. If the Cougars defense causes
an interception at that right time that will
help them.  Unlike Owen Eshleman the
Cougars quarterback he doesn't carry the
ball often and only averages one yard per
carry.

Javion Kennard is the Aztecs running
back who is averaging 5.8 yards per
carry this season. The  Cougars are
averaging giving up 171.9 yards a
game and 5 yards per carry. The Aztecs
not being a great passing team they will
try to run the Cougars who must defend
better to win. Both teams whoever does
best in turnovers should win.The Cougars
are best against short yardage so the.
Aztecs need will need to run on enough
long carries.

Lucky Sutton is the Aztecs other  running
back and he missed three games and
this will be his third game back. He has
hsd more carries than Kennard. His first
game back in a win over Fresno State was
his best game having 110 yards on the
ground averaging 6.1 yards. Last week
he followed up running for 98 yards.
Both runnings could find great success
against the Cougars who should find
a way to stop them both.

Although the Aztecs will run the ball
most of the time and quarterback
Denegal isn't great in completions
their top three receivers are explosive
so the Cougars defensive backs will
have to be sure to contain them.
The Cougars win could come down
to their defense and on offense QB
Owen Eshleman has had success
running the ball but they did lose
both games he started although
against Boise State they were in it
until the 4th quarter.  Again this
should be an exciting game with
both teams playing better in the last
couple weeks. Go Cougs.
