Dylan Moore Out For a While

Thursday Dylan Moore was expected
to play on Thursday but was scratched
instead. Turned out he got an oblique
strain. Thursday was expected to be
his first game of the spring.

The injury now means Moore will start
the season on the injured list. When
he becomes healthy he will go on a
rehab assignment especially since
he wasn't able to play any games
in the spring.

Moore was expected to platoon at
second base against lefties and give
JP Crawford an occasional day off
at shortstop. Also could play third
and first as well. Sam Haggerty
who has been a second baseman
during his minor league career
could be platooning in Moore's spot.

Mason McCoy who is invited minor leaguer
has had a good spring is the top choice
to take Moore's spot on the roster. He
has primarily been a shortstop so he
be the one to play when Crawford needs
a rest. He can play second and third to.

The Mariners may try other options to. Chris Flexen went four plus innings giving up two runs on four hits. The Mariners won
10-5.  Marco expected to be starting so
do the Mariners trade Flexen for an infielder who can hit as well as field.
Stay tuned
