Huskies Lose Big Time

Thursday  was the last game of the
regular season  for the Washington
Huskies and the Washington State
Cougars. Both teams have the Pac-12
tournament  coming up. The Huskies
likely  won't  play in any post season
tournament  unless they get hot and
win the Pac-12  tournament.

The Cougars  won the game taking both
this year's  games. The Cougars won 93-84.
TJ Bamba who has been very  hot recently
had a great night scoring 34 points. The
Huskies tried man to man after zone but
couldn't  stop Bamba. The Cougar guard
went 13 for 20 including three  3-pointers
and made all seven of his free throws.

Keion Brooks Jr  led the Huskies  with  22
points. Jamal Bey who has been scoring
well  recently with 17 points in his last
home game.  We wonder why we  haven't
seen that from Bey on a regular basis.

The Huskies had five of their six players
score in double figures. Cole Bajema who
has been struggling lately was the only
one not to get double figures with 9 points.
Freshman guard Koren Johnson had 13
points coming off the bench. With Jamal
Bey not coming back next season Koren
Johnson and Keyon Menifield should be
the primary  guards. At this point we don't
know Keion Brooks Jr will return either.
Also, head coach Mike Hopkins  could be
seen the door to.

The Huskies end the season  placing 8th
place in the Pac-12 with 8-12 record. Both
Colorado and Stanford can tie Washington
with a win. The Cougars on the other hand
end the season  with a 11-9 record and sixth place.
If both Arizona State  and Oregon both lose
then the Cougars would tie for 4th place. If
Utah beats Colorado  they would tie the Cougars.
So four teams could tie for fourth place. Won't
know who plays who in the tournament until
Saturday is over.

The Cougars had all five starters score in
double figures. Bamba was the difference
in the game with his 34 points.

Let you know how the  tournament will
set up.
