Angels 8-2. Robbie Ray went three
innings giving up his first run of the
spring in his third outing. He gave us
four hits, on walk and struck out six.
He pitches this way during the season
the Mariners will have a lot of wins.
Right now it looks like he will pitch
right after Luis Castillo. Likely Logan
Gilbert will follow him. In fact Logan
starts Tuesday against Kansas City.
Marco goes on Wednesday. There is
a chance the Mariners will alternate
righties and lefties.
Jarred Kelenic continues to hit well being the only one to get two hits. In fact he
scored both runs. Tommy La Stella who
just started playing games had another
hit. In fact he drove in Kelenic with a
double. At least to start the season La
Stella could be the dh against righties.
Most likely Cal Raleigh or Tom Murphy
could dh against lefties especially if
Cooper Hummel makes the roster as
the third catcher.
The Mariners used two lefties out of
the bullpen Taylor Saucedo and Gabe Speier. Neither pitched well combined
gave up five of the eight runs. The Mariners are hoping to have a lefty in the bullpen.
They do have two other lefties vying for
the spot to.
Now looking at the Seattle Seahawks they
have released defensive lineman Shelby
Harris. I thought they may bring him back
at a reduced price which they may do. The
Seahawks are reported to be signing
former Denver Broncos defensive tackle
Dre'Mont Jones to a three year deal estimated to be for $51million. Interesting
Harris the Seahawks acquired in the Russell Wilson trade last year. The question now will the Seahawks draft a defensive tackle in the first round or not. I still say
they will go for the best player available.
News came out Seahawks linebacker
Cody Barton is supposed to sign a one
year deal quaranteed with Washington
Commanders. A name still getting used
to. Does this mean the Seahawks will
try to sign Bobby Wagner. The Seahawks
likely will try to sign another linebacker
to without Cody Barton or draft one or
do both. Free agent signings go into
affect on Wednesday so we will see
if the Seahawks sign anyone else.
Stay tuned for more. Go Hawks!
