team Thursday 5-3. Canada has some
good players like former Mariner Abraham
Toro and former Mariners minor leaguers
Tyler O'Neil who by the way was traded to
St.Louis for Marco Gonzales. Though Marco
has pitched well for the Mariners it would
be interesting to wonder how the Mariners
would have looked with O'Neil in the outfield.
Marco pitched three and two-thirds innings
in this game. He gave up two hits, no walks,
two strike outs. I expect he will be the 5th
starter if things still go this way. If not, most
likely he will be traded.
The Mariners five runs were all scored by
minor leaguers. Cal Raleigh started at catcher
and he had three hits on the day. Tommy La
Stella made his first appearance on the spring
at dh. The Mariners hope he will be at dh and on
occasion in the field. There is no guarantee he
will be on the team since there isn't many spots
available. La Stella had a hit in the game too.
The Mariners take on the Cincinnati Reds Friday
with George Kirby on the mound. See if he can
pitch well in his second outing of the spring.
Put this in your head you think the Mariners
could make a trade with the Reds this spring?
Let you know Kyle Lewis has been in two games
for the Diamondbacks this spring with one hit
a home run. Been at dh in both. Wish him the
best for sure.
