Seattle Mariners Spring Training Wrapped Up

Monday afternoon the Mariners had
their final spring training game. They
lost to the Padres 10-3.

Luis Castillo started and pitched
well going five innings and throwing
75 pitches. He only walked one and
struck five. Luis gave up one run and
that happened in the 5th inning.

The Mariners got a run when Julio
hit a single scoring Brendan Donovan
and Cal advanced to third. Too bad
he wasn't able to score in the first.

Randy Arozarena scored the second
run on a homer in the 3rd inning.
Interesting Mitch Garver who made
the team as the backup catcher end
up playing first base. Who knows we
could see him there too.

Matt Brash pitched an inning. He
gave up a run however there was
an error. He didn't give up a hit
but a walk.  Carlos Vargas  did
fine in an inning. The rest of the
runs by the Padres were late off
of minor leaguers.

On the pregame radio show manager
Dan Wilson said that Bryce Miller
will start the season on the injured
list however won't be out long. In
fact he will throw in a minor league
game in Arizona. Go on a rehab
assignment. It looks like Emerson
Hancock  will make one start at
least.

Not sure yet about JP Crawford.
The Mariners faced a lefty Leo
Rivas was at short while Ryan
Bliss was at second.

Let you know how the bullpen
is set by Thursday. Go M's.
