pick and third overall in 2025 has dominated
double A in his first professional season.
Anderson has been taken care of the Mariners
pitching once a week. He has 18 starts just
over five innings per start. His record is 10-1 with
a 1.06 era. He has given up only four home runs
on the season. His next scheduled start hasn't
been announced. There is thought he might be
up soon. He is considered the Mariners 6th
starter so if anyone goes down he is next up.
On Friday the Mariners brought up Brock
Rodden. The thought was Colt Emerson
would be sent to Tacoma instead was placed
on the injured list. Most likely to Tacoma when
he gets off the injured list. Rodden had three
hits in his first three games over the weekend.
In Fridays game he drive in two runs though the
Mariners lost in extra innings. He might be
the spark the Mariners need.
Ryan Sloan the Mariners number two draft pick
in 2024 and the Mariners number two prospect
got off to a slow start on the season. He has
pitched about the same as Anderson but not
at the same level. There is thought he may
come up September when the Mariners expand
the roster. The Mariners could use him out
of the bullpen. We will really see how that goes.
Michael Arroyo began the season at double A
as well however recently was called up to Tacoma.
There was thought that he might be called up
to Tacoma but in this instance he doesn't play shortstop. Most of his minor league career has been at second base. This year though he has played
some left field as well. He could still be called up
in September.
Lazaro Montes outfielder starter in double A
and was called to Tacoma when Arroyo was.
He got off to a slow start with the Rainers
however he is hitting .288 which is slightly
above Arroyo. He has ten home runs so far
triple A after hitting 25 in double A. He is
a powered hitter. Playing at T-Mobile Park
being a left handed hitter will benefit him.
At this point it is hard to know whether
the Mariners will make the playoffs or
not. They are four games behind the Astros
after winning this series over the weekend.
They start a series in Milwaukee on Tuesday.
The Brewers having a very good season
and we know how the Mariners have been
playing. So it is still wait and see with them.
If the Mariners don't make the playoffs
there is thought that manager Dan Wilson
will be fired. If so who will be the next
manager? There is thought that Rodden
and Arroyo will be on the roster as well
as Colt Emerson. Montes could be in
the mix in the outfield and dh. The other.
question will they make a trade during
the off-season. Stay tune and see what
happens. Go M's.
