a lot of one run wins this season.
In fact I don't remember the last
one. I am sure some people do.
The final: Mariners 3 White Sox 2
The game Friday night was on
Apple TV, unless you have their
programming you were probably
not watching the game. I think
major league baseball needs to
change things. I know they want
to make more money on TV however
they need to find a way for those
who watch many games on local
broadcasting to see the game. I
figure having Root Sports I am paying
extra already to see them play. The
Mariners are the main reason I have
Root Sports. I may wstch occasional
Kraken game but until the Sonics
come back I don't watch the NBA
and I have no idea who are on the
Trail Blazers. I am sure they have
dome familiar names but I don't
know they play for Portland.
The scoring all happened in the
fifth, sixth and seventh innings.
Bryan Woo pitched well for the second
time in a row. Both runs he gave up
were solo home runs. Woo went five
and two-thirds innings striking out
nine besides the two home runs
he gave up only one other hit and
no walks. I expect another team
will have success when they explode
on his fastball.
The Mariners hsd nine hits on the
evening with four being doubles.
That is what I like. Eugenio Suarez
hsd the first double however the
bottom of the batting did nothing
behind him. Mike Ford started dh then
AJ Pollock came in to pinch hit and
take over. When are they going to stop
doing that. For the most part it hasn't
worked all season.
Julio, Ty France and Teoscar Hernandez
two hits each. Julio had a double and so
did Hernandez. The Mariners won the
game on Hernandez second hit a homer
in the seventh. Crawford scored on France
hit and Julio on Hernandez double.
Logan Gilbert starts Saturday afternoon. Hopefully he will do better than his last
outing. Another tight game will be alright
as long as the Mariners win. Go team!
