the team Thursday before the game against
the Yankees but it poured over to Friday's
game against the Orioles in Baltimore
winning 13-1.
Everyone in the lineup contributed in
one fashion or another getting at least one
hit. The Mariners scored a run in the second
inning then Tom Murphy hit a two-run homer
in the third. Figure what he contributes when
he is in the lineup is a plus. Teoscar Hernandez
remains hot having three hits including a solo
homer in the 4th. The Mariners were leading 6-0
after that.
In the seventh Logan Gilbert gave up a solo home
run only second hit of the game he gave up. He
layer down 14 batters in a row. It was his last inning?
The Mariners exploded for seven runs in the 8th
without a home run. The Mariners showed they can
hit and score runs without a homer.
Mariners next game is Saturday afternoon at 1:05
Pacific time. Bryce Miller will go for the Mariners.
Hopefully another good amount of runs scored.
Julio Rodriguez announced he will be in the
Home run derby at the all-star game. Not known
he will be in the game or not but he won't be
starting or any other Mariner player. Looks like
the Toronto Blue Jay's have most of the starters
in the all-star game. We might see a flock (sorry
for the pun) of Blue Jay's fans at the game.
