Mariners Lose Opening of Road Trip

The Seattle  Mariners  play a six game road
trip this week. They just got off a 4-2 home
series. It would be nice if  they could do the
same on this road trip. It won't be any easier
especially  losing the opener.

Not surprised  the Mariners  lost since they
had to face likely  the best pitcher in the
American  League  in Gerit Cole who is now
8-1. Wouldn't  be  surprised  if he is the starter
in the all-star game  in Seattle  in  July.

The Mariners  had only success from the bottom
of the order beginning  with Jarred Kelenic who
drove in the only Mariners  run the day.

The Yankees  scored a run in the first and two
more in the second. George  Kirby  went seven
innings followed  by rookie Tyler Adcock for
an inning. Cole seven and one-thirds innings
giving up four hits. This looks so familiar most
of the season for the Mariners though expected
against Cole.

Luis Castillo  pitches Wednesday  against the
Yankees. He needs to what he did last year in
New York after the Mariners  acquired  him.

JP Crawford  was injured suffering  trouble to
his right shoulder. Not sure how serious and
he left the game in the 3rd inning. There is a
good possibility he will  go on the injured list
but for how long we will  see. Dylan Moore
played shortstop  the rest of the game.
