Seahawks Offense Continue

The Seahawks drafted five offensive
players. We know about the two running
backs and the wide receiver in the first
round. They added guard Anthony Bradford
of LSU in the 4th round and center Olusequn Oluwatimi from Michigan in
round five. Last year they drafted Charles
Cross and Abraham Lucas with the first
two picks. They should show improvement
heading into their second season.

The Seahawks signed free agent Evan
Brown at center. The team needed a
new center so he and rookie Oluwatimi
will compete as starter. The guards be
another competition at both. Bradford will
bring added depth and could become starter too.

DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett will be
the top two receivers once again. They
drafted Ohio State receiver Jaxon Smith-Njiba with the second first round pick.
Jaxon will likely start in the slot however
we could see Metcalf and Lockett there
as well depending on matchups. Dee Eskridge drafted in the second round
in 2021 hasn't played a lot because of injuries. He is still considered the fourth
receiver however some think he might
be traded. It is hard to know how man
receivers the Seahawks will keep however
likely five or six. They do have eight other
receivers on the roster to compete for two
or three spots. See how that goes during camp and the three preseason games.

The Seahawks likely will go with three
tight ends with Will Dissly being the best
blocker however he will catch some
passes as well. Noah Fant and Colby
Parkinson will be the other two tight
ends. They are known more for their
receiving abilities. Depending in the
situation we will see two if not all
three in the game at the same. They
have Tyler Mabry as the fourth tight
end. Won't get a lot of playing time
unless one or more of the other two
get hurt. It will be interesting how
it works with wide receivers and tight
ends.

We will see what other news comes up with the Seahawks with training camp coming
in three or four times. The Huskies and.
Cougars training camp will start almost the same.

Next time up let you know how the Kraken
did in the draft which took place Wednesday night and Thursday. They hsd
ten picks in seven rounds. Surprising they
didn't trades. May look to sign free agents
or make some trades. Stay fund.
