Seahawks Running Back Position

This coming Seahawks season not
only say how the team does in a
a game we will let you know who
is the player of the game is. If
fitting on offense and defense.
Throughout the week we will do
profiles on some of the players
to. This will go for the Huskies
and Cougars as well.

Today going to look at the running
back position. According to head
coach Michael Macdonald the
running back position will be shared
by two. I expect that Kenny Walker 3
will be the starter however Zach
Charbonnet will get plenty of carries
as well. They may alternate series
and play in the same series as well.

I am sure there are fans who favor
Walker a lot. Having them share the
load Walker will stay healthier. The carry
load could be 15 for Walker and 10 or
12 for Charbonnet. This will come down
how the game is going. Both should
receive some catches as well. Most
likely three per game.

Kenny McIntosh a rookie last year out
of Georgia is the third running back.
The Seahawks have  a few vying for
the spot however they will be mentioned
at another time. McIntosh playing time
will be on special teams for the most
part. He will be seen taking kickoffs.
Any rushing attempts will likely happen
late in the game if the score is high
on one side or another or if there is
injuries to 1or 2 which we hope not.

During much of Pete Carroll's reign
the priority for the Seahawks was to
run the ball primarily however it
changed to passing if they got down
quickly by the score or were not gaining
ground. We shouldn't expect this under
Michael Macdonald. The running game
will be a major focus however no matter what.

Having a good running game will make
passing game more effective as well.
The Seahawks have a talented group
of receivers as well as offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb who loves
to mix things up as any Huskies fan
saw. We could see any of the receivers
run the ball too.  The end is expect the
unexpected.

Next time on the Seahawks we will
look at the receivers and after that
we will look at the defense which
will be an interesting group especially
when we will see a different defense.
Go Hawks!
