Seahawks defense having head
coach Michael Macdonald running
the show. We get back to it later.
The offense should look better to
with former Washington Huskies
offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb
in charge. Though the running
game is expected to be the primary
part of the offense the talent at
wide receiver and the use at tight
end should be showing to. Also,
the running backs will catch some
passes too.
How well the Seahawks offense goes
comes down to the health of the line.
Last year the Seahawks line was not
good or healthy. Both of the tackles
were out for some time. Right tackle
Abe Lucas out for at least half of the
season. His health looks better going
into training camp so we hope he is
able to perform well along with left
tackle Charles Cross.
The Seahawks signed former player
George Fant as a free agent. Though
he is expected to be the backup at
right tackle he could be a key to the
line giving Lucas some time off.
The guards and center will be
important to the offense. I believe
the backups make the offense
better though we hope the health
of the whole stays intact.
We should see an improvement
to the running game which was
30 last season and make the
passing game more effective
to. With Grubb as coordinator
we should see some interesting
looks with DK Metcalf. Huskies
former receiver Rome Odunze
now with the Chicago Bears is
much similar to Metcalf although
DK is more physical. I could see
some similar use for him.
Training camp starts in a month
so we should get ready. We hope
with an improved line not only
will the running game look better
Geno Smith or whoever is at
quarterback will be more free
in the pocket. Go Hawks!
