Mariners Walk Off Grand Slam

The first five innings Monday night
gsme looked like either team's game
as the score was 0-0. The sixth inning
Luis Robert Jr. hit a two-run homer
into the upper level left field. I thought
it was foul ball however hard to see.
Logan Gilbert pitched very well
deserving better fate. He gave up
a third run in the 7th. The Mariners
went to bullpen.

Mariners brought in Matt Bowman
in his first outing since being called
up from Tacoma after signing as
a free agent. He had pitched with
Minnesota Twins then acquired by
Arizona this season. He gave up
a home run to outfielder Corey Julks.
The score Chicago 4-0. Didn't look
good for the Mariners.

Dominic Canzone has good timing
though not a good average. He led
the 8th with  a home run.  Mitch
Hsniger hit a single to drive in
two runs. With the bases loaded
Luke Raley layed down the perfect
bunt to tie the game.

In the 9th inning Ryne Stanek pitched
and didn't give up a run. In the bottom of the 9th the Mariners were able to load
the bases once again. Cal Raleigh all
he had to do is hit a ball far enough for
JP Crawford score from third or walk.
Hre wanted to put final mark on
it so he huts a grand slam into the
right field stands. Pitcher knew it
as soon as Cal hit with contact.
Cal knows when to do it.

Dylan Moore missed the gsme as
his wife went into labor. He may
miss the is series. The Mariners
face the Texas Rangers at home
Friday through Sunday. The Rangers
play the Dodgers in Los Angeles
Tuesday through Thursday so
hopefully a good sign. The Rangers
are five and a half games behind the
Mariners. Go M's.
