Preview LA Tech at Washington State

The Cougars had a bye week after
a 10-7 loss to OSU Beavers. Likely
the worst offensive game this season.

The Cougars have a record of 4-5.
They did almost win two games
that would have been upsets.

LA Tech is 5-4 overall while 3-3
in Conference USA. They are tied
with Delaware for sixth place.

This game takes place in Pullman
Saturday night.

The Cougars are favored by 8.5 points.
This will be the first game against
each other in football.

LA Tech is averaging 28.11 points a game
while giving up 18.89 points.
The teams offense is almost split between
rushing and passing. The running game is
171. 7 yards and the passing 194.44 yards per game.  For LA Tech best to run on the
ground before passing to win

Sophomore Blake Baker is LA Tech QB
and he completed 68 percent of his
passes his best game was against
Western Kentucky  on October 21
when he completed 31 of  45 for 340
yards. It is most passes completed
and thrown all season. The most
thrown up and since that game was
26 passes. He has 5 tds and 3 interceptions
on the season

Clay Thevenin and Omiri Wiggins are
the teams two top running backs.
Clay has 94 carries for 529 yards
and 8 touchdowns along 55.89 yardsper game. Omiri has 83 carries for 425 yards
and four touchdowns with average of
44.89 yards per game. Quarterback Blake
is third averaging 32.5 yards per game.
He has run for three touchdowns on the
season too.

LA Tech has only seven catches for
touchdowns. Wide receiver Devin Gandy
is third on the team with 21 catches
however has the highest yardage with
356 and has two touchdowns the only
one with more than a touchdown on the
season. Tight end Eli Finley has the most catches with 28 and second in yardage
at 344 however no touchdowns. Margues
Singleton Jr. is second in catches with
23 however has only 155 yards though
he does have a touchdown.

Though the Cougars are favored they
are averaging 19.89 points a game.
They have only 105.1 yards on the
ground and passes slightly more than
100 yards more in the air.  Though the
Cougars could establish the run it is
likely they will pass the ball more

The Cougars have only three games
remaining on the season including
this one. To make a bowl game they
will need two wins to do so. Go Cougs!
