Preview Washington State At James Madison

The Cougars have a 5-5 record on the
season however they are 1-4 on the
road. This week they play at James
Madison who are favored by 13.5
points.

The road record is not totally broken
since they lost to high ranked Ole Miss
by three  points and Virginia by two.
They actually had a good lead at Virginia
before losing at the end.

James Madison is 9-1 overall and 7-0
in SBC East. They are 4-0 at home too.
Why the 13.5 favorites I expect.

James Madison average 37.10 points
a game and their defense gives up
16.20 per game.  They are a running
team average 241.60 per game. They
are good defense against the run at
89.10 yards. Passing game they throw
for 215.7 yards a game while giving up
168 yards. Expect the Cougars seeing
James Madison running the ball to
begin with.tqhlalm

Alonza Barnett III a junior is JM
starting  quarterback. Alonza
completes 61.63% of his passes.
Has 16 touchdown passes and only
5 interceptions. Running the ball
Alonza is second in carries and
yardage. He is tops in touchdowns
with 12 on the ground.

Junior Wayne Knight is the starting
running back. He averaged 84 yards
a game and has seven touchdowns.
Senior Jordan Fuller a transfer from
Holy Cross is  number two back
averaging  51.88 yards a game.
He has five touchdowns.  They have
other backs with attempts too.

Wayne Knight is valuable in the
passing game too. He is  number
one in catches with 35 and number
two with 368 yards and has one
touchdown catch. Junior wide
receiver Landen Ellis is second
in catches and number one in
yardage 532 yards and touchdowns
with five.

Senior Jaylan Sanchez a transfer
from Villanova is third in catches
with 22 and 4th in yardage has
one touchdown. Another senior
is Nick DeGennaro a transfer
from Richmond. Is 4th in catches
with 17 however is third in yardage
and second with 4 touchdowns.
They have others who have catches
with just over one catch per game
or under one.

Now we have to see whether the
Cougars play up again to their
opponent. Go Cougs.
