Washington Huskies Men's Beat Minnesota

The Washington Huskies went pretty much
with their starters beating Minnesota at
home  69-57.

Forward Hannes Steinbach had another
big game this time scoring 26 points
along with 9 rebounds.  He  made  12
of 17 from the field.  Zoom Diallo was
the only other one to score in double
figure with 17.  In total the two scored
43 out of the Huskies 69 points.

The Huskies were without Bryson
Tucker. He has started most of the
games he has been in. The Huskies
went with three guards as Quimari
Peterson started with Diallo and
Wesley Yates. Peterson and Yates
each had only five points.

Freshman Courtland Muldrew was
the main one off the bench going 21
minutes.A guard has only played 12
games. He had 6 points and five
rebounds.

The Huskies were able to make
63 percent of their field goals
and the main reason they won
although they dominated in
rebounds  with 27 to Minnesota
18.

The Huskies have a week off
as far as play going  next
Saturday at Maryland which
is a winnable game.

We hope Tucker will be back for
that one. We hope to Wesley
Yates will be feeling better.

Currently Santa Clara is ahead
of Gonzaga by five in the second
half. We see how it goes. Go Zags.
