point favorite to beat Minnesota Golden
Golphers is Saturday.
The Golden Golphers have a 2-1 record on
the season while the Huskies are 3-0 all
games at Husky Stadium though they
still haven't played their best ball offensively.
Minnesota their lone loss was against
Mississippi State in game two 38-13
and last week bounced back beating
Akron 41-7. Against MSU they were down
by 22 points at halftime. They were having
trouble running the ball averaging under
one yard per carry. In an usual nway the
Golden Golphers threw 36 passes in a
row in the second half scoring six points.
The Huskies have a good defense against
the run so we could see Golden Golphers
throwing a lot especially when getting
behind. The Huskies have averaged 4.4
yards rushing and over 120 yards a game
although got to a rocky start in the Apple
Cup where their top two running backs
were injured and won't return until later
in the season. They didn't click in the
passing game until last week against
Eastern Washington when QB Desmond
Williams Jr threw four touchdowns in
the first half.
Minnesota's running back Darius Taylor
missed last week with lower body injury
is expected to play this week. They have
three other players back too.
The Huskies have three defensive players
that are questionable but they have two
starters that are returning in defensive tackle
Elinneus Davis and edge rusher Logan George.
We are hoping to an entertaining game.
