Mariners Lose At Home Again

The Mariners continue having trouble
in the current homestand losing 10-5.
Makes it 1-4 with two games remaining.

The Mariners are on must need to
win but hard to find at the moment.
Bryce Miller started and still struggling
went only into the four inning getting two
outs.

Corey Seager hit a home run in the
first inning for the Texas Rangers.
The Rangers scored one in the 2nd.
No problem in the third though.
Bryce gave up two more in the
4th.

The Mariners were facing a left handed
starter which they have had trouble
against all season.  The Mariners
decided to start Laz Montes a left
handed bat at dh.  He hit a three run
homer to make it close down 4-3.

Jose Ferrer came in for Bryce
in the 4th and getting the final.
He started the 5th surrendering
a hit though got the first out
of the inning.  Eduardo Bazardo
came in for Ferrer. He has had
trouble giving up home runs
and he gave up two the Rangers
in the 5th.  five runs were scored.
So 9-3 and making it very hard to
come back to win.

The Rangers scored their last
run in the 7th.  Dominic Canzone
hit a double scoring Randy Arozarena.
in the 8th and  Randy hit a sacrifice
fly in the 9th. Josh Naylor scored.
The Mariners ended up using six
relievers.

Wednesday the Mariners and Rangers
play a day game since the Seahawks
and Patriots play in the evening.

Kade Anderson makes the start
He will be on a pitch count. We hope
that he will make it through five
innings at least.

The Mariners using six innings
means only three who didn't
pitch in this one.  Since Kade
is a lefty means that Seranthony
Dominguez will likely come in
for him.  Lefty Gabe Speier who
didn't pitch either most likely
will go too.  Closer Munoz will
likely pitch too. The Mariners
may need to use someone who
pitched Tuesday unless they
activate a pitcher from the minors.

Depending on the score if the
Mariners do activate another
pitcher that pitcher could come
in for Kade Anderson.

The Tacoma Rainiers are at home
this week against El Paso for
the final homestand of the season.
So Mariners could bring someone
up from there.   I thought possibly
the Mariners could bring up another
top prospect Ryan Sloan from
Arkansas however he started
Sunday.  If he is called up likely
won't be until the Mariners go
on the road to play in Sacramento
this weekend against the A's.

The Mariners now have 17 games
remaining on the season. For the
Mariners to make it  to 81-81 they.
will have to go 14-3. It will be hard
to do as how they are playing down
the stretch.

The Houston Astros beat the
Phillies this evening 6-5. They
have 17 games remaining as
well. They only have to go
7-10 to reach 81wins. Though
the Mariners are not mathematically
out of it yet things don't look
good.  Making it as a wild card
is likely more difficult. Go M's.
