for the first win of July 7-3.
Bryce Miller went five and a third
innings giving up two runs on a
homer to all-star shorstop starter
Gunnar Henderson in the third
inning. The Mariners tie the game.
in the fifth inning with Julio Rodriguez
hitting a solo home run. Ryan Bliss
hit into a double play however Ty
France scored.
Julio had one of his best games of
the season. Manager Scott Servais
thinks this could be a big start for
him. If so the Mariners could go
on a good win streak. The Astros
are breathing down the Mariners
so this might be good news.
In the 7th the Mariners loaded
the bases. JP Crawford hit a
double clearing the bases. Mitch
Garver hit a homer run giving
the Mariners five runs. In the
8th Gunnar Henderson hit a
double scoring the final run
for the Orioles.
The Mariners begin a three
game series to finish the
homestead against the Toronto
Blue Jays. Toronto usually
having a lot of fans coming
down from British Columbia.
This likely won't be any different.
The Blue Jays are struggling this
season being at the bottom
of the American League East.
The Mariners have a good
chance in this series. A lot of
noise to with talks about trades
including having one with the
Blue Jays.
Luis Castillo is scheduled to
start on Friday night. The
Mariners don't have anyone
scheduled to start on Saturday
as of yet. George Kirby has
been named for Sunday. I
would have thought the
Mariners would have kept
in order going with Kirby on
Saturday. Had the Mariners
done so they wouldn't need
a fifth starter until after the
all-star break.
The Mariner have another off day
on Monday. With Kirby going
on Sunday the Mariners will
have to make a move to start
someone. My educated guess
it will be Emerson Hancock.
Bryan Woo is expected to take
rehab assignment soon.
Go M's.
