Mariners Are Shut out

The Mariners had their opportunities
especially late in the game although
Josh Rojas had their only two hits.

George Kirby went six and a third innings.
He gave up seven hits and two runs.
He was the Mariners pitcher of the
and deserved better results.

The Mariners hitters didn't do
well except Rojas until late in
the game. They were able to
get on base but couldn't get
anyone home.  Interesting the
Mariners pinched hit for Rojas
with Dylan Moore facing a lefty.

In the ninth the Mariners were
able to get two runners on.walks.
Cal just missed a home run with
the ball going slightly foul. He
struck out on.the next pitch.

I know many questioned though
Servais has been doing that all
season for either Rojas or Raley
or Canzone.  The Mariners had
two runners on base. With a wild
pitch Julio came up with a runner
on second and third with two outs.
All Julio had to do was hit a single
to tie the gsme but he struck out
to end the game. Julio was moved
down to seventh in the order so
the perfect spot to do some damage.

Wednesday night Logan Gilbert takes
the mound. Hopefully the Mariners
can turn things around. The good
thing the Astros lost so they are still
thee games ahead.  Go Mariners!
