It does get uncomfortable playing
in Fenway Park. Nice to have Yimi
Garcia and Munoz finish off the
8th and 9th innings.
The Mariners scored first in the
first inning when Justin Turner
singled in Robles for his first hit
as a Mariner. Robles had a good
day once again scoring three times
and had two hits. Played some
good center field as well.
Red Sox scored three runs in the
third. The Mariners were able to
bounce back with five in the fifth
inning. Dylan Moore had one of his
two doubles driving in three runs.
The Red Sox had a couple errors
as sell that didn't help their cause.
The Mariners scored three more
in the sixth inning to make it look
like a runaway. Jorge Polanco
had a double driving in two runs
then Cal Raleigh scored on a wild
pitch from third. That was all the
scoring on the day for the Mariners.
Luis Castillo lasted six innings. Tayler
Saucedo started the seventh inning
giving up two runs. Collin Snider came
in to get final out however he gave IP
the third run making anything possible
George Kirby starts Wednesday's
game which starts just after 1pm
Seattle time. We hope the Mariners
can win the series.
The Mariners were only able to
make one trade on Tuesday before
the trading deadline acquiring
reliever JT Chargois from the
Miami Marlins. If that name
sounds familiar he once pitched
for the Mariners in 30 games before
being traded for Diego Castillo.
Chargois has been hurt for much
of the season. Though his numbers
haven't looked good this year he
has pitched well for the Marlins.
I am sure everyone was hoping for
another bat however they did pick
up two in recent days.
We see how things go for the Mariners. in August. Hope to have Julio back soon.
