of the series where the Mariners
lost 3-2.
The game went ten innings.
The Mariners had Cal Raleigh
as the designated runner on second.
He was able to get to third on
wild pitch with no outs. They were
able to load the bases but no runs scored.
A common problem they have.
In the bottom of the tenth Devers hit
a double to score the winning run.
Why the Mariners didn't walk Devers
to allow a force out at any base I
don't know.
George Kirby had a so so game. Only
lasted five and a third innings. Only walked
one however threw a wild pitch in the
first inning that gave up a run. He gave
up his second run in the sixth inning
before leaving.
The bullpen did a fine job. My only
question was bring in Jonathan
Diaz who recently called up from
Tacoma to pitch the 10th inning.
Had the game gone further I
would understand.
Dylan Moire singled in Cal Raleigh
in the fourth inning and Josh Rojas
scored the second run with a homer
in the second before the Red Sox tied
in the sixth.
The series against the Phillies will
be Woo on Friday, Bryce Miller
Saturday and Logan Gilbert.
Hope for a better result. Go M's!
