Knowing Washington Huskies Will Rogers

The Washington Huskies have a
new quarterback after Michael
Penix Jr. college eligibility was
finished last season and went
into the NFL drafted in the first
round by the Atlanta Falcons.

The Washington Huskies have
a new quarterback for one season
in graduate student Will Rogers
who played four seasons at
Mississippi State. Three of the
seasons his head coach was
the late Mike Leach who coached
for the Washington State Cougars
as well.

How well the Huskies do with
Will Rogers this coming season
and the first in the Big Ten we
will see. Under new head coach
Jedd Fisch we will likely see a
NFL type of offense. This could
have some wrinkles of Mike Leach
in it as well.

In his four seasons at Mississippi
State Rogers threw for 12,315 yards.
He had 94 touchdowns and completed
69.3 of his passes. His best two seasons
were his sophomore and junior years
where he played in 13 games both times.

Rogers best season was his sophomore
year where he threw for 4739 yards and
36 touchdowns. I would say the Huskies
will have a good season if he gets close
to those stats. I am sure Rogers will make
every effort to do so if he wants a NFL
career.

We will look into other members of
the Huskies team over the weeks ahead.
